Turin, Italy 1911. The Walter Martiny Rubber Industry was born, which was then called “Superga”. Walter Martiny, the founder, discovered the existence of a new technology, invented by Charles Goodyear: the vulcanization of natural rubber. He was the first person to bring the invention to Italy. 

n 1925 - to satisfy the needs of his tennis player wife - the founder of Superga®, Walter Martiny, created one of the first sports shoes with vulcanized natural rubber soles.

At that time, tennis players used canvas shoes with a rope sole: Martiny created a cast of that rope sole and reproduced it in natural rubber, which was non-slip and resistant. It is from the irregular texture of the rope that the characteristic “orange peel” sole was born: the same that we still see under the 2750: for everyone, the classic Supergas.

Tonet by Carella is designed and produced in Italy, which means that all the stages of work are done in Italy. Carella is a typical Italian family company. It is located in the Veneto area, one hour from Venice. The company was born more than thirty years ago from an artisanal firm where the wife, a knitter, and her husband made small quantities of knitwear and went to sell it in small towns throughout Treviso. These vintage enamel coffee pots are in great condition and have unique markings specific to each style. We found these great pieces on a recent buying trip in Paris, at the world's oldest flea market in Saint-Ouen where we found a curator who specializes only in vintage coffee pots grinders and coffee related antiques.

About Acqua Di Parma:

In 1916, master perfumers created a new fragrance in a small perfumer's laboratory in the old town center of Parma. It was unusually fresh and modern compared to the perfumes of German origin, stronger and more intense, that were then so popular. This was the first real Italian eau de cologne, and it expressed a new sensibility. The most striking thing was the purity of the fragrance produced exclusively with natural ingredients. To this day, its composition has never been changed.
