In 2001, Nathalie and Shay decided to create their brand while Nathalie was pregnant with their daughter, who was due in June creating the name of the brand, Miss June. A trip to India inspired bright colors, rich fabrics, and embroidery. All the designs and prints are created in Paris, but it is in India that the collection comes to life. All the embroidery and finishing touches are done by hand by women in India, which makes each piece of the collection unique and authentic. Throughout the seasons, different techniques are used such as cross stitch embroidery, batiks, bandhani, block prints or tie dye. Miss June is inspired by the best of bohemian and gypsy chic.
